Established in January 7 th , 2002, Austria-China Council for the Promotion of International Trade , as an institution for the promotion of foreign trade, comprises VIPS, enterprises and organizations representing the economic and trade sectors in Austria and China.

Austria - China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is abbreviated as ACCPIT whose German name is “ Oesterreichisch Chinesische Gesellschaft fuer internationale Wirtschaftsfoerderung”, OECWF for short.

The aims of the ACCPIT are to operate and promote foreign trade, to use foreign investment, to introduce advanced foreign technologies, to conduct activities of foreign economic and technological cooperation in various forms, to promote the development of economic and trade relations between Austria and China as well as other countries and regions around the world, and to promote the mutual understanding and friendship among Austria, Chinese peoples and peoples as well as economic and trade circles of all nations around the world, in line with law and government policies of Austria.

With the approval of the Austrian government, Austria-China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was established in January 7 th , 2002.

Up to now, ACCPIT has established extensive relations with the industrial, commercialand business circles of over 20 countries and regions all over the world, reached cooperation agreements with over 16 counterpart organizations and set up joint chambers of commerce with some other countries. Meanwhile, it has also been established in the fields of machinery, electronics, light industry, textile, agriculture, auto-industry, commerce, metallurgical industry, chemical industry, building materials, general industry, supply-marketing cooperative industry, construction, cereals and foreign enterprises.

The emblem of the ACCPIT, consisting of the Great Wall and the Danube, was designed corporately by ACCPIT chairman Ni Tieping and the vice chairman Dr. Li Zhaoquan.
